Daniel O’Toole’s career in the film industry progressed to General Manager of Village Roadshow Pictures (Australia) from 1989 to 1991. He created and implemented ‘The Silver Series’, a slate of low-budget movies that turned a profit before they had started shooting. Daniel also served as Producer on two of the Silver Series films all of which were brought in on time and under budget.
Daniel then joined forces with legendary film financier and producer Jack Schwartzman, famously responsible for returning Sean Connery to his rightful role as James Bond and arranging independent financing for Never Say Never Again. Working with Schwartzman, Daniel was able to add considerably to his expanding knowledge of film finance and distribution.
In 1993, Daniel began his collaboration with Brian O’Callaghan on a number of co-financing ventures and worked closely with several major studios and producers.
Daniel has also enjoyed success in a Silicon Valley start up venture to develop a patented technology that enabled the delivery of animated content on demand over the Internet. Daniel completed successful negotiations for the acquisition of several thousand hours of animated content and successfully raised $4 million of equity over several rounds of financing
